Where do you live?
Relocating back to Moncton from Bedford NS.
What position do you hold on the board?
Director of Communications most recently but started as race director for potential Storm event.
When did you start competing in triathlon?
Relatively still new to triathlon having only started in 2016.
Who is your favourite sports hero?
Hard not to choose Terry Fox. One of the most amazing athletes of my time and a real hero.
What is the best part about competing?
The best part of competing is proving to yourself what you are capable of regardless of age or experience.
What is your favourite sports quote?
“The will to succeed is important but what is more important is the will to prepare” Bobby Knight
Who do you wish was watching you compete at all your events?
It’s fun to travel with other athletes who you have trained with and accomplish it together.
What is your favourite song to listen to – to get you pumped for competing?
My bootcamp group can attest that “Its not over” was a spin tune that seemed to go on forever on a climb.
What is your favorite Triathlon race distance?
The best distance for me is 70.3. Enough to push your limits but not consuming your life training like the full distance does.
What is your favorite race?
Ironman Arizona is special to me since it was my first full distance and likely only but Timberman 70.3 was very scenic and a great event!
Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of sport of triathlon?
My work life is hockey so that is a big part of my world but also enjoy pickleball and golf.
What is your must-have training accessory?
All of my training partners have all the gadgets but for me I tend to keep things simple. Heart rate monitor watch since I am not a young pup!
